"Before he makes any moves, Danny Ainge wants to see if Sunday's win over Miami was an aberration, an emotional response to the loss of Rajon Rondo for the rest of the season, or a real indication of how the rest of the Celtics lineup can play.
As such, the Celtics president of basketball operations said yesterday he is not in a hurry to bring in another player, either via a trade or free agency, to fill the void.
Rondo is expected have ACL surgery in "10 to 14 days," according to Ainge. Ainge also said he expects his franchise player to be ready for training camp next October. But in the meantime Ainge wants to see what his remaining backcourt can produce.
