"Marquis Daniels has moved around Doc Rivers' rotation like a ping-pong ball at the NBA Lottery. He's developed more patience than those guys waiting for Godot.

And he's very aware of who is watching right now — the members of all 26 NBA teams no longer playing. Like Mickael Pietrus, Keyon Dooling, Greg Stiemsma and every other Celtic with fluctuating roles and playing time, Daniels is now in that moment they all live for.

"Everyone wants to be out there right now," he said. "It's part of your competitive nature. Right now everyone is watching, and you're out there competing against some of the best guys, so it's also a good thing for us."
