BOSTON (CBS) – The US Senate race to fill John Kerry’s seat just got a new competitor.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone is thinking about joining the race, according to a report from the Boston Herald.

He told the paper that the race has changed since former Senator Scott Brown decided not to run.

“I need to make a decision one way or another very soon,” Leone told the Herald.
