LEXINGTON (CBS) – Someone is waking up a little richer Thursday morning.
The ticket for the $50 million Powerball jackpot drawn on Wednesday was purchased at Lexington Shell on Waltham Street.
Mass. Lottery spokesperson Beth Bresnahan said there was just one winner nation-wide.
Lexington Shell will get a $50,000 commission for selling the ticket. There is no word yet on who the winner may be.
This is the second time a Powerball jackpot was won in Mass. The first was a $25 million jackpot sold in June 2011 in Fall River.
Powerball has been played in the state since Jan. 2010.
