The NHL will reportedly scratch another two weeks off the 2012-13 season, cancelling games through December 30.

With Monday’s expected round of cancellations, the total number of games lost to the lockout will climb to 526.
But, given they are only expected to cancel another two weeks offers a glimmer of hope a deal can be reached within the coming weeks and some portion of the season can still be saved.
The players and owners were close to a deal last week, but negotiations broke off Thursday when the two sides could not come to an agreement on the length of the new CBA and player contract lengths.
Labor negotiations are expected to start up again later this week.
