BOSTON (CBS) — These days, cyber-stalking can get you in a lot of trouble. But polite cyber-stalking? Well, that can earn you a visit from Rob Gronkowski.
The Patriots’ superstar tight end has some free time on his hands as he recovers from a broken forearm suffered in mid-November, and he spent some of it dropping in at an Emerson College social media class in Boston.
The class, taught by professor David Gerzof Richard, was challenged to try to get a celebrity to make a visit, according to Bostinno.com. Last year, the class brought in Chad Ochocinco, and the goal was to top that accomplishment this year with Gronkowski. Weeks of persistence on Twitter, plus the timing of the injury opened up the opportunity for Gronk to stop in.
The 23-year-old Gronkowski doesn’t always paint himself as the intellectual-type, but give him credit: he sat in the front row of the class.
?I used to Tweet out bad things,” Gronk said, according to the Boston Herald. “I don?t do that no more. “If I put something out there, I have to deal with it in the media, with the team and from friends. I try to keep it PG.?
Students posted photos of the Patriots’ star, fittingly, on Twitter, and unlike those infamous Bibi Jones photos from last year, these ones surely won’t upset anyone down in Foxboro.
