SPRINGFIELD (CBS) – Firefighters in Springfield are on the scene of a natural gas explosion on Worthington Street.

CBS 3 Springfield reports that Worthington Street was blocked off to traffic between Chestnut and Spring streets as officials investigated a natural gas leak.

There have been evacuations in the area but there is no word on any injuries.

The explosion was felt in several neighboring towns.
