BOSTON (CBS) – After a three-day stay at Boston Medical Center, James “Whitey” Bulger is back behind bars.

The U.S. Marshal’s Service told the Boston Globe, Bulger was released from the hospital and taken back to Plymouth County Jail.

On Sunday, the 83-year-old was taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pains. Bulger has a history of heart trouble and was in the hospital last winter with similar symptoms.

The trial for the former FBI informant, is expected to begin in March but defense lawyers have asked for an extension due to the amount of documents involved in the case.
