Josh Beckett hosted his annual charity event Beckett Bowl on Thursday night at Lucky Strike Lanes near Fenway Park. Tim Wakefield, Dustin Pedroia, Mike Lowell and Kevin Cash were among the Red Sox players who bowled to benefit Beckett’s charity.

| Josh Beckett threw 68 pitches in a rehab star at Triple-A Pawtucket, striking out four in a strong outing. It appears Beckett is close to returning to the Red Sox for the first time since May 19. One of the greatest post-season pitchers of all time, he will be a huge boost to the ailing Red Sox in the second half of the season.
